We are very excited about Ford's newest all-electric vehicles (EVs). Based on the high demand, everyone else is too! This year there are two Ford EVs available (if you can get your hands on one, that is). The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an exciting addition bringing you a sleek SUV with a powerful all-electric option. Most surprising of all is the powerful performance of the Ford F-15 Lightning, the intensely popular pickup with the latest electric technology that blows away expectations around performance. Both vehicles are sleek, modern, and packed with the latest technology and gadgets to keep you safe, entertained, and playing harder than ever before.
How Ford All-Electric Vehicles Work
The Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning are both equipped with electric motors that run off rechargeable batteries. They come with a cable you can plug into a regular wall outlet. You can also upgrade to a level II professionally installed charger to reduce your charging time. Unlike hybrids and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, there is no gas engine. All the horsepower is generated by the powerful electric engine, and it produces more power and torque than its comparable gas counterparts. The F-150 Lightning can go up to 240 miles on one charge, and the Mustang Mach-E can travel over 300 miles before needing to plug in.
Current Tax Incentives for the Ford Escape PHEV
Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, the Ford Mustang Mach-e and Ford F-15 Lightning both qualify for $7,500 in federal tax credits. The credits are set to expire at the end of the year. If you are interested in an electric vehicle, be sure to make your final purchase before January 1st to qualify for the credit.
